Studio Info Paula’s School of Baton is under the direction of Paula McAdoo. The school is proud to be starting its 24th year in Mount Joy, PA. Offering classes for children ages 3 and older in baton twirling, tap and pom-pom, on all levels. Students perform throughout the year in parades, mini shows and our year-end production of Spring Showcase in May, is always a fantastic performance by the children for friends and families. Events Paula’s School of Baton 2008 National Teams competed in the DMA National finals at Gardner-Webb University. The competitive teams from ages Teenie Weenies through Seniors competed in 19 team events: Dance Twirl, Dance Line, Pom Line, Twirl Team and Strut Teams, at the North Carolina competition.They brought home 15 first place and 4 second place national awards. Also, the Senior Twirl Team was awarded the Most Outstanding Twirl Team, from the national competition. All of these young ladies practiced from June 2007 through July 2008 for the competition. In Addition to team awards many of the school's private students won top five awards on the national level. See our National Results page to see photos of our trip to NC. You can also check out Drum Majorettes of America, www.DMAtwirl.org, for more on the national competition.   In addition to competitions, the school has also performed at three Capital One Bowl Halftime Shows, The Miss America Parade, Philadelphia Soul Football Halftime, Kickin’ It with the 76ers Dance Team, and many other local sport venues.     Paula’s School of Baton has private students that train one on one with our instructors to compete individually on all levels as well. This year the school had 10 winners on all national levels, with DMA. These young ladies concentrate on twirling on a daily basis and compete locally and on the national levels in North Carolina, West Virginia, and Tennessee.
